T.K. enjoying Autumn AfternoonsWith all the attention the regular farm animals get on these pages it's time to redress the imbalance with a picture of my favorite animal.
This morning I'd been off to the State Forest collecting our third trailer load of firewood (permit for 4 loads in hand). And this afternoon I started cutting it into smaller sizes when T.K. emerged from who knows where but he was filthy. Black and white. Chameleon cat.
Of course when I touched him it swept off with each pat and he plopped himself down to watch me work (his favorite pastime).
Today was another beautiful autumn day. As much as we need some serious rain, that can wait for the working weekdays. I'd originally hoped to get some photos of the poplars with their green and gold leaves as they turn, but the shots were a bit ordinary and so it's T.K.s turn to shine.

In other news, I've done the first weekend of a two weekend
Advanced Firefighter course with the Rural Fire Service. This mainly involves understanding about using pumps and the differnt pumping scenarios and map reading with giving and taking bearings.
The lamb looks like a boy so he'll be a lovely Christmas roast at 9 months.
